Hey worship leaders, creative pastors, service programmers (and elevators) ::
It’s the Fall. We know that means momentum. It means summer’s coming to an end and we’re about to see a bit of an influx of people to some degree. This weekend is IT for us. We’re kicking off our new series Give.Me.Faith. We’re pulling out all the stops, introducing illustrations and videos and even a new original song we’ve been creating for weeks now.
Thought it’d be cool to hear from you guys.
What’s been your favorite Fall kickoff/openers you’ve been a part of in the past at your church?
What’s the most memorable illustration or song you’ve used in a worship experience for a big day like this?
Anything unique that you tried that really connected your people to Jesus?
Or for Elevators….what’s been your favorite illustration or creative element we’ve used for a big weekend experience at Elevation?
Let us hear about it.
-Chris

The video elements last weekend were flat-out amazing. That one man’s story, told to a capella music, drove home the day’s message. I affirm your Rev’s noon tweet: Today our teams put together a worship experience so compelling that my sermon preached itself. Thank God for true partners in the Gospel. 12:37 PM Aug 16th from Tweetie Unfortunately, I can’t do much with the invitation cards the usher handed me for next weekend. I’m a 3-hour drive away. But I’ve got a wristband loaded with initials and prayers that are heard no matter where I am.
Have to say Easter was phenomenal with the poet and last year (I think) on Easter the “stomp” style intro was one of my favorites. Great stuff from the Break Out series.
I’ll have to say every week is absolutely amazing. God has blessed our church with so much talent and creativity through Worship Leaders that truly love the Lord. The “Coming Home” video with Hunter and The Fray was awesome. I enjoyed the Slam Poet this past Easter….the beginning of an amazing day of Salvation’s. The experience doesn’t always have to be flashy to be effective, example was 2 weeks ago with “No Show Sunday”. Armed with an acoustic guitar and two small speakers, Chris Brown illustrated his passion for God. You could feel the Holy Spirit in each word that Chris sang…heck, he didn’t even need the guitar.
I really enjoy any song we do with a video. For example the do you hear series was awesome with the video “i heard that jesus…” video. I also loved the paintings done during real change, and the healer painting was also amazing with “healer by hillsong” in the background.
