A couple Friday nights ago, we got the privilege of experiencing Newspring Church’s live recording for their upcoming album. Those dudes & gals do it right around there. What do you mean, Chris? Glad you asked.
- The Newspring team creates one of the best Jesus-centered worship experiences I’ve ever been a part of….every weekend.
- Lee McDerment (worship pastor) is my hero. He’s an anointed man who God’s used to shape the worship ministry at Newspring for 10 years. Plus, he took me under his proverbial wing for 5 years when I was in Anderson. I imitated everything he did…how he sang, how he prayed, how he ate a bagel.
- Their team empowers others – they’re raising up the next generation of worship leaders on the daily.
- They’re writing songs for the Church to sing for years to come.
- This new record is going to be SMOKING HOT!!
Two things I wanted you to gather from this: You should anticipate the release of Newspring’s live CD with as much anticipation as the approach of Christmas morning. We all need people and ministries that we look up to, that can mentor us – you will do well to look to them.
